Sally Millard

Sally Millard is the mother of two primary school age children and works full time as a Financial Controller.

She is a founder member of the IoI Parents Forum, which was set up to provide a meeting place for those who want to make sense of why parents and parenting has become such a focus for policy makers. With concerns ranging from how many books we have at home, to what we feed our children, to how much television they watch, it seems that bringing up kids is neither a straight forward task, nor a private matter. The Parents Forum has proved to be a great place to discuss these developments so that we can work out how to challenge them.

"Just when Kant's formulation that 'the public exercise of reason should be free' had begun to seem so remote and exhausted, the Battle should reinforce one's faith in the enduring worth of dissent and of the free traffic in ideas"
