Inua Ellams

Inua Ellams is a Word & Graphic artist. Born in Nigeria in 1984, he expressed himself solely through the visual until he started writing in 2002. Constantly trying to marry his two disciplines, his work is known for its musicality, intense imagery and attention to detail. As a live artist, Inua has featured as major venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, The Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican and his debut pamphlet, 13 Fairy Negro Tales was published under flipped eye publishing’s renowned mouthmark series in 2005. In 2009 he won an Edinburgh Festival Fringe First award for his one-man show, The 14th Tale.
