Cara Bleiman

Recently graduated from Music at Oxford University, Cara will be continuing her studies there with a Masters in Social Anthropology. As a clarinettist and a critic she has been awarded the Scottish Wagner Society’s Bayreuth Scholarship, a Leask Music Award and the Herald Young Critics Competition. Her research interests lie in the social and cultural study of music festivals and in political appropriations of ‘folk’ music.
