![]() | Simon Poulter has been widely commissioned throughout the UK and has been investigating the relationship between culture and regeneration in a variety of locations in England since 2004. This is combined with an interest in network technologies, human computer interaction and tactical media, working with Hewlett Packard and Liverpool John Moores University. He has recently been commissioned by NOW Festival, Nottingham, FACT, Liverpool and is presently artist in residence with Metal, researching cultural development in the Thames Gateway. He is also a founding member of PVA MediaLab, where he has developed a successful interdisciplinary model - LabCulture - that assists artists engaging with new ideas. From 2005-08 he has been Lead Artist at Knowle West Media Centre in Bristol, overseeing commissioning of new artworks alongside the development of a new building located in one of Britain’s most notorious housing estates. |
