Toby teaches Social Theory at Havering College of Further and Higher Education. He is currently undertaking a PhD with Professor Michael Young at the Institute of Education, London. Here he is developing a sociological explanation of the fraught nature of contemporary curriculum authority.
Toby is also the Programme Development Secretary for The Standing Committee for the Education and Training of Teachers (SCETT).
